  • Yes! To best serve you and our other customers we ask that you schedule an appointment to try on wedding gowns or shop our accessories! This way we can give each bride the attention and celebration that she deserves!

  • Our Standard Bridal Appointments are 90 minutes long with a personal consultant. This gives you enough time to shop, try on dresses, say YES, and Celebrate!!!!

  • For an appointment during regular business hours there is NO charge for.

    If you would like to schedule an extended Sunday Appointment and reserve the entire shop to yourself, there is a $75 non-refundable charge.

    Or if you would like to schedule a private Wednesday Evening Appointment, there is a $50 non-refundable charge.

    Good news, if you say YES to your dress during your private appointment, you will receive your non-refundable charge credited to your dress! Win-win!

  • Most Dresses take 4-6 months to arrive in the shop after you order them.

    Don’t have that long? No worries, some of our designers keep inventory that we can have shipped very quickly, and there is also rush delivery options for a small fee.

  • While we don’t do in-house alterations, we do have a list of talented alterations people that we have been working with for YEARS! These ladies will take great care of you after your dress arrives!

    Alterations timelines and fees will vary.

  • We’ve got you! We have a variety of off-the-rack dresses, and dresses that ship really quickly!

  • We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, and checks. For made-to-order gowns, a 65% deposit is required to place your order, with the remaining balance due upon arrival. If you choose to take advantage of the split payment option, a $50 payment plan fee may be applied.

  • Due to the nature of special order bridal gowns, all sales are final. Because dresses are made-to-order, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations. We’ll walk you through all the details during your appointment so you feel confident in your choice.

    We know there's a lot of buzz right now about new Tariffs and how they might impact the wedding world. It’s a complicated topic, and while we can’t speak for the entire industry, we can tell you exactly how this affects your experience at Couture Closet.

    First and foremost: honesty and transparency are at the heart of everything we do. We’re here to help you feel confident, radiant, and celebrated—no matter what curveballs come our way.

    Because wedding dresses are made-to-order and often take several months to arrive, it’s hard to predict what (if any) Tariff fees might be applied to your gown when it’s time to bring it home. The situation is fluid and changing fast, and charging a flat fee up front just doesn’t feel right to us.

    At the same time, we’re a small business—and we want to continue being your go-to boutique for years to come. So, here’s how we’re handling things in a way that feels both fair and flexible:

    • When you purchase your gown, you’ll see a line item called a “Temporary Import Fee” of $75. This is not taxed, and it’s simply a placeholder to help us prepare for possible Tariff costs.

    • When your dress arrives, we’ll calculate the actual Tariff amount based on what we’re charged by the designer and import team.

    • If the final Tariff fee is less than $75, you’ll get the difference back as in-store credit to use toward accessories or finishing touches.

    • If the fee is more than $75, you’ll only pay the difference when you pick up your gown—no added fees, no markups.

    For example:
    Let’s say we’re charged a $200 import fee when your gown comes in. You’d owe $125 at pickup.
    If the fee ends up being only $25? You’d get $50 back in store credit to spend on veils, jewelry, or any little extra that makes your look you.

    What we won’t do is raise the base price of our gowns to hide these fees. That’s not our style, and it’s not how we treat the people who keep our boutique thriving—you.

    We’re hopeful this will all settle down, and that we’ll be handing out credits more often than not. But until then, this approach lets us adapt with honesty, transparency, and care—without compromising the experience you deserve.

  • Yes! We have veils, hairpieces, jewelry, belts, and more. Our consultants love helping you complete your bridal look from head to toe.

  • We are proud to offer the chance for Kentucky brides to design your very own wedding dress for a great price. With our Bespoke Gown Bar brides can mix and match tops and bottoms of gowns, swap fabrics, add sleeves and small details! This great and innovative option makes it easy and affordable to create a gown as unique as you are!

  • We suggest smaller parties because many opinions usually cause issues for the bride. However, we know you have people that have to be there! Five people fit comfortably in each of our fitting areas. If you have a large entourage, consider a Private After Hours Appointment on either Wednesday Evening or Sunday.
